Happy May Day Is Lei Day In Hawai’i . . . day!
I forgot to post this from Kimo (James Ayres).
The Jai Josefs Trio is back in full swing from 7:00 to 9:00 PM this Saturday evening at Mantra Wines 881 Grant Avenue in downtown Novato. We’ll be playing our special blend of Jazzy Rock and Rockin’ Jazz featuring unique arrangements of the music of Santana, Chick Corea, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, and others plus cool originals. We have some great new songs as well as a really great new percussionist – so don’t miss it.
Mantra is a really wonderful atmosphere to hear music and they make their own small batch wines and hand crafted beer. Charcuterie plates and other light bites are available, and if you like you can order full meals from Finnegan’s next door delivered right to your table.
It promises to be an exceptional evening and I look forward to seeing you there!
James
Sounds like something fun to do after a Saturday Vanikapila!

Aloha Ahi Ahi UFOhana Pilots!
What busy and beautiful weekend we had this past week!
Mahalo nui to those who attened Saturday’s Kanikapila and / or Sunday He’e Nalu Canoe Blessing. The He’e Nalu ‘Ohana was very appreciative of our attendance and I was told that we help “make the event.” Mahalo to Max, Dan-O, the 101 Sports ‘Ohana, for inviting us and to the UFOhana members that participated and shared their Aloha.
Mahalo nui loa to Brudda Ken Emerson for taking time out of his busy gig schedule to join us and to Carolyn for pointing Kolohe in our direction!
Here are the photos from this past Saturday. We had a pretty full Keiki complement thanks to Lineke (Lynnette), our resident Kumu Mele (music teacher). Always such a joy having our Keiki join us. Mahalo Nohea for the wonderful photos.
