My Dearest UFOhana,
I have some very sad news .
Carolyn Pendry, a beloved friend, a wonderful human being and forever member of the UFOhana passed away at 5:17 pm today..
She could longer sustain her long fight with cancer . . .
About a year and half ago, Doctors had said, after successfully completing her first bout with cancer and the arduous treatment, that she would probably not walk again.
But true to her unrelenting spirit, with months of rehab, and with Ken forever by her side, she not only fully regained use of her legs, was able to travel to the South Pacific, accompany Ken on his cross country / pacific gigs and was actually able to Hula once again.
This time, battling a new cancer, she had succumbed to the disease’s onslaught.
A dear friend and fighter to the end . . .
Remembering Carolyn
Let us all send our Healing Alohas to Ken and Carolyn’s family during this difficult time.
Let’s all give our Mahalo to Akua (your higher power) for allowing our time with her.
