Aloha Ahi Ahi UFOhana,

Another hot, dry and blustery week. Let’s keep saving water out there.

It may have been a hot and dry week but it certainly didn’t extinguish the spirit of one graduate. Yes, that is our very own UFOhana Keiki, Madison Sneath, featured on the front page of the Marin IJ. Click image below to view the article.

Madison Sneath and her classmates move their cap tassels at the at the end of their graduation ceremony at Novato High School in Novato on Friday, June 11, 2021. Novato high had 361 graduated this year. (Sherry LaVars/Marin Independent Journal)

Btw, if you want to view Madison’s graduation ceremony Comcast was kind enough to streamed it live and can still be viewed below on their YouTube site. Madison and Jiboni gave a rousing co-speech that starts at about the 29:11 time mark.

Congratulations Madison and Jiboni! Mai’kai! “You MADE IT!”

Btw, the Sneath’s has Graciously invited the UFOhana to Madison’s Graduation Party, 6/19 (This Saturday) 3pm-6pm. Click here for details and to RSVP for our UFOhana Keiki’s hoʻolauleʻa (celebration)!

Please RSVP soon if you will be attending so Madison’s mākua (parents) can plan for the UFO invasion! Btw, Madison is encouraging us to bring our Ukuleles as well! Wooohoooo!

This past Saturday we had a record turnout in the backyard. Seems the weather has encouraged the Ukes Of Summer to descend upon us and maybe thanks to COVID finally coming under control. But let’s continue to exercise caution out there.

Mahalo to our Cyber Ohana for you continued support! Btw, we’re still broadcasting on 88.7 on your FM dial in case anyone’s within 1000′ of the Vendola Cafe.

Click below to link up with us in Cyber-land this Saturday via YouTube Livestream.

Remember to text 415-300-7804 to let us know if you’ll be joining us IRL (In Real Life) so we can put out enough chairs. Also, text Linda 415-572-1175 for song requests and/or comments.

Lastly Brudda Ralph is holding a Kanikapila Pot Luck at his Hale (Home) on July 11th. We’re thinking of running 12pm – 3pm or so. It’s BYOB&S (Bring Your Own Beverage and Snacks). BYOChair, Music Stand, Big Flight Manual, Sun Gear and lots of water. It might be hot and I know the SF China Town Follies contingent will be there as well. Now, they’re HOT!

Text me at 415-300-7804 so we can let Ralph know how many to expect. Nohea will be setting up her Hawaiian Collectibles and Clothing booth for those of you interested.

we drift into light,
night’s dark veil slips from the sky,
morning sings to us.

Aloha A Hui Hou!

Still wearing mine , . . don’t know where He’s been!
