042721: Vanikapila 18.21 – Redux

Aloha All,

Forgot to mention an important event.

Because of my upcoming eye surgery on the 11th, the Elks has graciously moved our 2nd Friday of the month Kanikapila to the 1st Friday of May.

If you’ll be joining us please RSVP ASAP at this link for Dinner.

Also, this is a “Birthday Dinner” event, which means if you are an Elks Member and your Birthday is in April or May, DINNER IS FREE!

Mahalo to Joe, Kanela and the Elks for accommodating the UFOhana and sharing their Aloha with us.

We now return you to your regular programming . . .

Aloha Ahi Ahi UFOhana,

Well we’re on our way to May Flowers, though April Showers was kind of a bust. Looks like we’ll be on water restrictions once again. What did they say last time, “If it’s yellow let it mellow, If it’s brown flush it down?” I always get confused . . .

I understand that the travel industry’s picked up quite a bit. In fact, there’s a shortage of Rental Cars nationwide. Some are renting for as much as $500/day! I heard that in Hawai’i travelers have gotten around the shortage and high rates by renting U-Hauls for $20/day! I guess you could use them as a trailer home? Speaking of which, check out Ken’s new project below:

Wait for it, wait for it . . .
Nice yah? All packed up and ready to head up north.

But wait! There’s more . . .

Have a safe trip up North Brudda Ken!

Meantime, back in Vanikapila land, images from last week….

from Light’s history,
faint glow from centuries past,
to infinite black.

Ok, keeping it short and sweet this week.

Mahalo to the frontline Vaxers and to all of you that have been Vaxed so far. Let’s keep those numbers rising. Btw, if you’re in the neighborhood come by for an official UFOhana.org I’m Vaxed sticker.

Malama Pono,
