Aloha UFOhana,

Because of recent COVID surge and the fact that the event is all indoors, the Sonoma Valley Woman’s Club Kanikapila has been cancelled.

However, we will be holding our regular Vanikapila this Saturday at our usual time of 11am – 1pm. Please text me at 415-300-7804 if you will be attending IRL.

We have quite a few events on the Horizon, starting with the Porchfest on 7/31 and one or two almost every week in August. Check out our Events Page for more details and be sure to RSVP any events you’ll be attending.

One of which is for our honored Marine mentioned below in Nicole Sneath’s letter to the UFOhana.

Hi Del and Ukulele Family,

It’s been awhile.   I really do miss all of you and hope that you are all well.

I copied and pasted a post I wrote up this morning.   Please pass around and share.

Madison will graduate August 12th, she’s hoping to get a flight out Asap and be back in Novato for that evening with her plan to be at Ukulele on the Saturday, 13th to visit all of you.

Much love!!

This Badass Marine is continuing to make “waves” at the Naval Academy of Music.  Moved her way up the leadership ladder from Fireteam, to Squad to now the Guide Leader, is on the welcoming team and doing Martial Arts.  She will graduate the Music Program August 12th, got her orders to report to Parris Island for 3 years as a Fleet Band member.  Madison Sneath just received the Student of the month Award.

She continues to live her best life, leaving many footprints along the way.   You’re a Rockstar girl.   Miss you terribly and love you to the moon and back!!!

She’s an amazing individual and Marine. Mahalo Nicole for sharing such a proud moment with us. A much earned BRAVO ZULU or Maikaʻi ka hana!

Her journey continues onto Parris Island . . . but not before we give her a welcome home Potluck on Aug 13. Check out the Events Page and RSVP ASAP!
