101624: Vanikapila 31.24

BOT:

Aloha UFOhana Pilots,

Sorry for the late posting, been busy with Halloween setup and recovering from a strained back.

Speaking of Halloween, don’t forget to check out our events page for our CAYA party. What’s a CAYA? Check it out here.

Judging from our Vanikapila attendance last week, it seems our replacement Streaming PC has passed it’s shake down crusie so we’re good for another Vanikapila for this Saturday.

Unfortunatley, our UFO Scribe was out on medical leave so we don’t have any tricorder recording from last week’s event (i.e. photos/videos for you non-trekkors). But we do have a link to last week Saturday’s Vanikapila Video. You can view here if you wish.

However, thanks to Karen Hom, we do have photos of this past Friday’s Elks Dinner. Attendance was a little thin because of Fleet Week, but we had a delicious dinner and good kine fun none the less. Mahalo to Joe Tato and the Elks for having us.

Check it out below.

Yes, that was about half the audience. The intrepid few . . . click above to view the other half aka the band , , , , including the bored one.

Below, the link to this Saturday’s Vanikapila and click here to register if you’ll be joining us IRL.

It looks like Fall is finally upon us, and as expected all the festivities associated with the coming season.

8TH SOMEWHAT – ANNUAL LARKSPUR FERRY

SAN FRANCISO FERRY BUILDING

UKULELE FLASH MOB

SUNDAY DECEMBER 8TH

Santa says:

We’ll meet at the Larkspur Ferry gate at 11:00

Sunday December 8th – for the 11:20 departure —

Hide your ukulele if you can. Where? In a holiday package, baby carriage, back pack, or a Santa Sack.

On board the Larkspur Ferry – bar deck – subtlety take out your ukuleles and we will sing and play our way across the bay –  until we

Arrive at the Ferry Building – 11:50 hide your ukulele again and enjoy a nonchalant stroll through the Ferry Building. Grab a bite to eat. Or a drink.  We will meet at the tables by Pete’s in the main rotunda at 1:00 and play, sing, and hula until 2:30?

The acoustics in the Ferry Building are incredible. Just had to say that.

Will catch the 3:30 ferry back to Larkspur and those with any energy left will sing and play with perhaps a momentary stop at the bar on the top deck.

Last year, a few of us went to Gott’s at the Bon Aire shopping center – ½ mile from the ferry  for burgers, conversation and laughter when we got off the ferry.

Looking forward to celebrating part of the Holidays with You.  We hope you can fit the Ferry Flash Mob into your schedule.

QUESTIONS? ANSWERS? SUGGESTIONS?

PLEASE E-MAIL tspoltz@gmail or give me a holler at 415-461-4628 – if you’re coming.
