070423: 4ofJuly@Woodacre & Vanikapila 20.23 – Redux-Redux-Redux

Just want to wish everyone a hauʻoli i ka lā 4 o Iulai (Happy 4th of July)!

Happy Birthday to US!

Click here to view photos of our Birthday Party at the Acre of Woods (Ralph’s House).

Mahalo to Ralph and Karen for hosting, feeding, keeping us cool and sharing their Aloha with the UFOhana!

Maybe next year we’ll be IN the parade?

Just one more thing . . .

If you received an invitation and cancelation from Linda Albion for the Porchfest. Please ignore it.

It’s just a Jedi Mind trick. The Napa Porchfest is as scheduled. No changes to the Event has occurred.

Just wanted to correct the title and the following from Ralph to the last blog . . .

. . . carry on . . .

BOT:

Aloha Ahi Ahi UFOhana,

Hope you’re all keeping cool on this lā wela (hot day)!

It’s been a busy week thus far for the UFOhana. So far we’ve had the County Fair and yesterday we did the Chinatown Kanikapila.

What a great time and great weather we had for the Chinatown mission. Fabulous Hula from the Grant Avenue Follies, under the direction of Kumu Allen Ogi. We had trolly loads of audience stopping and videoing the event. Some of them from Hawai’i.

Lastly, we were treated to an Impromptu Motorcycle Arcade during Over The Rainbow, complete with 21 Mufflers Back Fire Salute and the Grant Avenue Follies dancing to Brudda Iz!

Mahalo Nui Loa to Ralph and Karen for arranging the event and for inviting the UFOhana. Mahalo Karen for selecting the best lunch yet from Far East Café! Mahalo to Uber Ralph for piloting the shuttle to planet SFO and to Pauline, Ralph, Melann, Wally, Da’ Albions, Da’ Spolters, Jolynn and Susan, for helping with the Roadie work. Mahalo to our Bass Commander Capt. Bailey for always keeping us on time!

One last Mahalo to our scribe, Nohea, for the Tricorder Readings (documenting the event) and to the intrepid UFOhana Away Team that made it such a rousing, fun event.

The Aloha was definitely flowing in Chinatown that day.

Mission Accomplished.

So on the 4th we’ve been invited to Ralph’s Hale for the Woodacre 4th of July parade. Bring your Ukes and something to snack on and maybe share with the ‘Ohana. Click here to register for the event.
