100620: Vanikapila #26 (Iwakālua kūmāono)

BOT:

Aloha Ahi Ahi Kakou,

Good evening all, seems we’ve been given a little bit of a break from the Fiery Martian Weather this week. Well, at least so far, they’re hinting at some possible rain? Have you ever seen the . . . buckets of rain, buckets of tears . . . well never mind.

So we’re looking towards our 26th Vanikapila this Saturday. Who would have thought it would go this long? I’m certainly glad you folks are out there to keep the strumming going and from the sounds of it you’re all staying safe and well.

Last Saturday our OK-ers were actually blessed with blue skies and fair weather. Mahalo nui to the intrepid ones that came, setup, strummed, sang, hula’d and tore down the set for our Outdoor Kanikapila. Below, images from last Saturday. Only echoes of laughter and mele we left behind . . .

and of course, what can be more random than our weekly Vanikapila?

Coming to a screen near you this Saturday!

Again, please text me at 415-300-7804 if you’ll be joining us for Outdoor Kanikapila so we can set up a safe space for you. Also, if you can’t get through on Vanikapila Chat, text Nohea at 415-572-1175 to request a song or maybe order a Halloween PPE Mask for that special someone (like you)?

moving in chorus,
an endless march to the end,
we strum one more time.

Malama Pono Kakou,

I’m sorry, am I blocking your view?
On the slopes of Mauna Kea, on a peke peke Mule?
