Aloha Ahi Ahi UFOhana,
So this Saturday night we are having our annual 2025 Ugly Sweater Pajama PotLuck Vanikapila (aka USPJPLV Night).
So wash and whip out that onesy, or hot glue that ugly sweater back together or just come as you are?
Click here to register for the event.
Please feel free to bring a guest and don’t forget to note what dish you’ll be bringing when you register. Mahalo.
Whoooweee! Talk about one busy week! But fun!
It started with Friday night at the Elks. A wonderful dinner with a Christmas Kanikapila. Check it out below.

Prior to the Elks event, Lynnette managed to squeeze in a Winter Performance of her own at Lynwood Elementary. Click below to view their online album and videos. Mahalo Pauline, for the photos and videos.

Then Saturday Night we were asked to perform at the Gnoss Field Community Association’s Christmas Party. Click below to view the album. Who generously donates to PIKOhana.

And today, was the UFOhana’s Fairfax Winter Fair gig. Images below.

From Nohea and Myself Mahalo Nui Loa to all of you that assisted setup, tear down and for bringing your UFOhana spirit to all these wonderful events.
We really could not have done with with your kokua (assistance / support)!
So, we should be good for major events this year and sadly early next year too.
I just got word from the California Academy of Sciences that they are no longer doing their Winter Program. Note the message from our CAS host Patrick Sysiong:
Hi Del,
Thank you so much for your interest in performing at the California Academy of Sciences. At this time we are not booking groups for the 2025 winter programming period. The Academy has decided to take a break from ‘Tis the Season for Science to invest more deeply in innovation initiatives and reimagine how we approach exhibit content, timing, and audience engagement. Our ultimate goal is to provide more original, resonant, and forward-looking experiences that maximize our mission and impact.
Welcoming partners has been one of the highlights of our year, and we have enjoyed watching guests enjoy the festive atmosphere UFOhana brings, Del.
Please feel free to reach out next year, we hope to be able to share a new vision for winter programming.
Warm regards,
Patrick
I gave our Mahalos to Patrick for giving the UFOhana the opportunity to perform at their wonderful venue. Also, our condolences to losing Claude the Albino Gater.
All said, you can see, from his response that the door is not closed . . . there’s always next year.
