BOT:
Aloha UFOhana,
Mahalo nui loa for those of you brought and shared your Aloha this past Saturday.
Sorry for the seating issues some of you may have experienced.
This is why we ask that you register for the event. We only had 11 register for this Saturday and almost 40 showed up. That’s not counting our Cyber-ohana.
By registering I can setup for adequate seating, help prevent seating issues and allow us to start on time, instead of 20 minutes later.
Please be sure to register using the link below. This way I just have to check just one place to see who’s attending and won’t have to look though my dozens of Emails / Texts / Carrier Pigeon Notes / Coconut Wireless / Etc. to get a head count.
Click here to Register for this Saturday.
Mahalo for your understanding and cooperation and to those of you who do register.
Below images from this past Saturday. Mahalo to Ken for sharing his musical talents with us once again. Carolyn, so nice to see you dancing with the Piko Hula Hui!
24 Years of Kanikapila
This Friday, the 8th 6pm – 9pm, we’ll be at the Elks, celebrating our 24th Anniversary of Kanikapilas. Yes, it has been 24 years.
I understand that Joe will be working that night cooking up an Island Style dinner for us and our guests. I understand that he’s making a special dessert for our Anniversary as well!
It may not be up quite yet, but please be sure to check their website, click here to RSVP a dinner.
If not, you can usually pay at the Bar for a dinner and don’t forget to sign the Guest Book if you’re not a lodge member.
Mahalo Nui to Joe and the Elks for hosting us all these years!
The Last Repair Shop
I’d like to share the following Oscar Nominated documentary, “The Last Repair Shop.”
An incredible story about the last remaining repair shopfor School Instruments in the United States, located in LA. They introduce the people that make it possible and their arduous journey to The Shop.
Please give a watch, it will touch your heart and brings to light the reason for our founding of PIKOhana (our non-profit).
Mahalo nui loa to Lynnette and her fellow instructors help make PIKOhana’s mission possible and, of course, all of you that have donated to PIKOhana.
Me ke aloha pumehana . . . Del
Please send your healing mana and Aloha to our Senior Ukulele Pilot Al Bernes. I believe, after Donley Smith, he’s been with us the longest at 23 years.
From your UFOhana . . . Get well soon Al!
UKEKU
clouds fade indigo,
lone pilot pierces the night,
‘Ohana looks on.
Hauʻoli lā makahiki iā mākou (Happy Annivesary to us)!
