Aloha Ahi Ahi UFOhana,

And the heat just keeps on coming . . . time to bring out the fans and swap coolers!

Well at least we had some cool breezes of Aloha flowing out of Vendola Cafe last Saturday. Mahalo to all of you that showed up despite the heat and shared your cooling mana with your ‘Ohana.

Below images from this past Saturday. Mahalo to Nohea for always documenting these events with her photos.

Here’s the link to this week’s Vanikapila. Are we really at the end of Spring and June?

Click this Saturday to join us virtually.

Click here if you’ll be joining IRL (In Real Life).

Speaking of the end Spring.

We’re coming up very quick on the County Fair. We recieved the tickets and we will be passing them out to those who registered at this Saturday’s Kani/Vanikapila.

For those of you that cannot make it this Saturday. You can arrange to pick them up at Vendola Cafe (aka 1585 Vendola Drive) during the week with Nohea (Linda) by texting her at 415-572-1175.

Many of you my recall my conversations about Dennis Kamakahi loving The 3 Stooges. Here’s an interesting article about Moe Howard. You know, the one that was doing all the eye boinking and head slapping . . .

About-Moe-Howard

Huh? Who’d da tot? He wasn’t a wise guy, he was a nice guy! whoop, whoop, whoop.

And another interesting Uke Sighting from Don Koc about Jazz Master George Benson. Mahalo Don!

He started on the Ukulele!

Ok, I got to go refill my swap cooler so I’ll end it here. Please keep checking our UFOhana Events page for updates and new events. I’m working on Kimo’s (our 1st Kimo, the Bass Player, aka James Ayres) Jazz trio for July 27th. We’re working out the details so stay tuned!

slowly a note drifts,
we strum into the abyss,
life responds with song.

Aloha Kekahi,

Hope you’re all all keeping cool in this Smoky Weather. Found my car covered in ash this morning. Let all hope that the Fire Fighters are safe and that they manage to contain the lastest blaze out there.

Mahalo Nui Loa to all of you that attend this past Saturday and give me such a warm homecoming. Nice to come back to another Home after leaving one.

Here are the images from last Saturday. Mahalo to Nohea for always being there to record the Aloha . . .

Below, the link to our next Vanikapila. If you’ll be joining us IRL, click here to register for the event.

Dear Del and Linda, How are you? I’m OK. Early in 2023 my parents moved to an assisted living facility in Santa Rosa. In Dec my father passed away in his sleep. Thanks a super million for having opened you home to him and all the other ukulele players. Enjoy the rest of your Year of the Dragon! – Iver
Paul Torikian. Photo taken Jan 13, 2018.

. . . please send healing mana and your Alohas to the Torikian ‘Ohana.

Aloha Oe Paul

a long journey ends,
flowers adrift in the sea,
such are memories.

Aloha A Hui Hou,
