111814: Kanikapila at UFOhana HQ this friday . . .

BOT:

Aloha Ahi Ahi UFOhana,

Thought I get this out sooner than later. We’ll be gathering the UFOhana Headquarters  (our home) this Friday. Email me at kaleikoa@piko.ws if you need instruction to UFO HQ.  It’ll be a night of BYKaukau (Main dish or dessert), BYOChair (just in case we don’t have enough), BYOGear and of course, BYAloha to share with everyone else.

This Saturday (November 22) is S.O.S.L.  (Support Our Sleeping Lady) Day, aka a Fund Raiser for Sleeping Lady. We’ll be passing around a calabash donation bowl at the Kanikapila and ask that everyone donate no less $5 to Wahine Moemoe (Sleeping Lady). Please pass this onto your own ‘Ohana, invite them to come and Kanikapila or just spectate, enjoy the Kanikapila and help support Sleeping Lady. I understand that there will be other performers coming in after our 2p-4p gig doing like wise. Let’s all help keep this wonderful ‘Ukulele Friendly Venue open!

Below are the links (click the collages) for the CHEMPI fund raiser at the Elks and yet another fun Saturday at the Sleeping Lady . . .

Mahalo Nui Loa to the Elks (Mike, Stewart, Dennis, Joe, Tad, Mark, Karina, Sarah and many others) for allowing the UFOhana to participate in their fundraiser. Mike and Elaine were feature artists at the CHEMPI dinner singing, “Wind Beneath Your Wings” . . . beautiful!

Familiar thoughts,
Echoes in empty hallways,
Shadows fade to black  . . .

The cold night is starting to seep into the Hale. Time  for this Kane to moemoe in our warm ka’anu’a . . .
