070524: Marin County Fair Update Slight Time Change

Aloha All,

It’s almost time!

Just a reminder that we will be performing at the County Fair so NO VANIKAPILA!

More Info on the County Fair Event

Please show up no later than 11:45am for the event we start at 12:15pm.

We were scheduled for 12:30 but they rescheduled us. Probably because we are one of the larger groups and need the extra time for setup.

BYOMusic Stand, music clips, water and I will bring some printed Flight Manuals for those in need. Otherwise you can download the PDF here.

To conserve stage space consider sharing a Flight Manual and a music stand with an Ukulele Co-Pilot.

Dress in Happy, Bright, Hawaiian Attire. Hula Dancers please wear “Appropriate Hula Attire”.

Below an old map from the 2018 fair. It’ll give you an idea of the location of the Community Stage, where we’ll be performing. Circled in Red below. We’ll congregate in the food court area, just behind the stage, as we always have.

We’ll have the same stage layout as last year. Hula Space in front, keikis and lead musicians behind and the Corps De Ukulele in rows behind.

Here’s the stage layout map.

For those being plugged in, please be sure to bring your own instrument cable(s) and note where you’re located on the stage.

Remember what Marion told us, “Look up from your Flight Manual, make eye contact and smile once in a while.”

It will be warm so keep hydrated and dress cool Hawaiian.

Let get ready to St-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-umbl-l-l-l-l-l-le!!!!

Aloha A Hui Hou,

Is the bow tie to much?

063024 County Fair Update!

Aloha kakahiaka UFOhana,

Lois pointed out that the County Fair Schedule has us scheduled to perform at 12:15 NOT 12:30. So please be there no later than 11:45. She also pointed out that they also mis-spelled our name (again). I’m hoping this was to give the stage crew time to set up and tear down. I’ve updated the Events page to reflect this change.

Mahalo Lois for pointing this out.

We had surprise visitors at yesterday’s Vanikapila. Mary Tiger, Sandy’s sister from Hawaii, and her daughter Stephanie, from Arizona (?). Check it out below.

Click above to view the album.

Btw, we won’t have a Vanikapila this week (because of the County Fair), but there’s more to come. Keep checking the Events page for upcoming events. We have a busy July!

together we play,
songs from the heart fill the air,
making aloha.

See you folks at the Fair!

Aloha A Hui Hou,

Remember, no later than 11:45 at the Fair!
