Aloha Ahi Ahi UFOhana,

It’s a dark and cold evening here at Vendola Café. But as I stand in the darkness of the lanai I can almost hear the warms echoes of Aloha, laughter and wonderful music from the day’s Vanikapila.

Mahalo Ken and Carolyn for joining in with the UFOhana, for stirring up those musical juices and sharing your Hulas. Always a joy to have you folks with us.

Mahalo Lynnette for bringing the Keikis, to Lois for bringing Sean (next to Lois below) and to Nathaly for the great job on the bass!

Mahalo to my Nohea for soldiering on, inspite of her “100 day” cough and aching ribs, she managed to provide us with images from today’s event.

And of course Mahalo to all of you that attended, both Virtually and IRL and made it an even funner event.

And don’t forget about Ounces!

Another fun day of Vani/Kani-kapila and we’re onward to an uncertain future. But then aren’t they all? At least we can count on another Vanikapila this Saturday for sure!

In the meantime we can relive the Aloha from today’s vanikapila from Nohea’s photos below.

Below, a really cute view of father and daughter (I think) singing You’ve Got A Friend in Me. The little girl is amazing, kind of like a re-incarnation of Shirley Temple.

And there’s this from Don Koc, not as cute, but certainly funny! Is that Jake in the background? In fact, that chicken look awfully familiar.

Below an interesting article explaining the meaning one of our most “banned” streaming song, Hotel California.
