Just came out of my NyQwil coma to get this out you  . . .  Hope you’re all doing well. I’m still fighting this bad cold, but I think I’m on the other side of it now.  Mahalo Nui Loa to all of you that made the Mill Valley Christmas Tree Lighting Event, and for braving the weather and bringing some genuine Mele Kalikimaka Spirit to Mill Valley. Mahalo to H.U.L.A for joining in and to the Ukulele Jubilees ( and of course Tucker and Barbara) for inviting us all to join in this fun event. So, this Friday we’ve been asked to join Kumu Pua’s (aka Kumu Lisa Saunders) Hula Halau to Celebrate with them at their Christmas Party at the College of Marin Kentfield Campus. It’s starts at 6:30pm, not sure about when it ends, but it is Potluck and BYOGear (Folding Chairs (just in case), Music Stands, Music Books, Book Lights, etc. Invoke Murphy’s 5th Law here (BISYWNI). Saturday’s Kanikapila will be at the Fairfax Christmas Fair, http://www.fairfaxfestival.com/arts-crafts/, we’ll be performing at the Ecofest Pavilion Stage like last year, from 12p – 1:30p, BYOGear (Music Stand, Chairs/Stools if you need them).  Mahalo to Jack Irving for inviting us once again.

Dear Winterfest Performing Artist,

Thank you so much for you and your group’s participation in this year’s Winterfest Celebration taking place on Sunday, December 6 from 11am to 6pm on the Downtown plaza in Mill Valley.  We are looking forward to a great event.  Below is the production schedule for the performance stage as well as all of the logistical information you should need.  Please contact me if you have any questions.

The times listed are the start and end of your performance slot.
You must set up and break down within your allotted performance slot.
We will be running a very tight schedule.  Please be quick, efficient and above all safe.
All members of your group should be on site 1/2 hour before your group’s scheduled performance slot begins.
If you have not done so, email me your tech requirements and stage plot by this Tuesday, December 1
Make sure your equipment is in working order.  We will not have backup cables, strings, sticks, etc…
We do not provide music stands
We do provide folding chairs
Please review the attached site map and locate the
Performance Tent
Loading Zone (Miller Avenue)
Only use loading zone to drop or pick up equipment or group members.  Use extra care around the loading zone.
DO NOT PARK in loading zone
Free parking is available at the Old Mill School parking lot. The lot entrance is located on Old Mill Street between Lovell and Throckmorton.
You will be contacted by Thursday, December 3 in the event weather forcasts deterime the event should be cancelled. 
We will not reschedule the event if it is cancelled on December 6.
