Aloha All,

We’re at the UFO HQ this Friday again, 7p – 10p, BYKaukau (Pot Luck), BYOGear (music stands, emergency seating device, etc.), BYLotsaAloha to share with your ‘Ohana. Mahalo everyone for making last Friday such a fun and aloha filled night. Mahalo to Maggie for helping us out with her wonderful Bass work and for hauling her beautiful waiolina kū nui (Big Fiddle) all the way out to UFO HQ. Then the next day it was onward to the Sonoma Valley Woman’s Club Luau Fund Raiser / Kanikapila. It was long day but lots of Aloha, Ono Kau Kau and Fun for all. Not to mention a successful Fund Raiser for the SVWC,  Mahalo to Hula Mai for allowing the UFOhana to participate in this worthy event and to the SVWC for hosting the UFOhana.

This Saturday the UFOhana has been invited to play 12p-1p at the event below, weather permitting (90% rain has been predicted). If there’s rain all pilots are grounded for this event.  However, we will be meeting at UFO HQ at our regular Saturday run time  2p-4p. So far, we’ve got Wally, Ted and myself attending, come join us if you can.

We’re Kanikapila-ing at the UFO HQ this Friday, 7p-10p, BYOPotLuck (aka Ono Kau Kau), BYOGear (music stands), and of course BYAloha. Images below from last Friday’s Kanikapila. Then (oops) we did it again on Saturday  . . .

Speaking of Saturday, this Saturday we’ll be at the Sonoma Valley Woman’s Club for both the Luau Fundraiser Event (sorry, tickets all sold out) 12p – 1:30p and for our usual Kanikapila (open to the public) 2p – 4p.

Btw, next Saturday March 5th, we’ve been invited to play at Lokahi’s Canoe Club (of which Brudda Ted is a member) Canoe Blessing, Located at the Petaluma Marina: http://marinas.com/view/marina/1156_Petaluma_Marina_CA_United_States. Ceremonies start at 11am, we play from 12p –1p and rush on back to San Rafael for Kanikapila at UFO HQ, 2p-4p.  All who are interested are welcome to join in. Look for us near the Canoes somewhere . . . please drop me a line if you will be attending. Brudda Ted, you can play bass that day ya?

From Linda and Myself we’d like to thank Gary Appleman for repairing the UFO HQ back fence (below) this past week, which blew out during the previous week’s wind storm. I guess it was the dead Pine Tree that kept it from blowing over. Thanks to Gary it looks like nothing ever happened, Mahalo Nui Gary you’re the Bestest!
