BOT:

Aloha ahi ahi (Good Evening) UFOhana,

Well here we are, almost one week into Spring and I can already feel the changes in the evening temperature. First time in a few months we’ve actually only had to sleep with just one blanket!

The wild life in our area is also a little more active, birds, bees, squirrels and Ukulele Players! Yes, we had a squadron of Ukulele Pilots and Hula dancers show up last Saturday. Including Lois and her 3 grandsons and Lynnette’s Ukulele Keiki. Talk about a full house.

Check it out below. Mahalo Nohea for great photos!

Speaking of this Saturday, some of you may attended our Fun gigs at the Shark-tober-fest. Though they’re no longer having the event, David McGuire, who founded the Shark Stewards Foundation, has gifted the UFOhana with a gift card to SOL Foods in San Rafael. His Mahalo to the UFOhana’s support over the years.

So we’ve decided to share that makana (gift) with the UFOhana by holding a Spring Ipuhao Laki (Potluck) Luncheon this Saturday after our Vanikapila.

Though the main dish (SOL’s Famous Chicken) will be provided we do encourage you to bring a Salad, Dessert or other Main Dish to ensure that we have enough to go around. BYOBeverage, though sparkling waters (Mahalo Nohea) and sparkling wines (Mahalo Sandy) will be provided.

Click here to register for the Spring luncheon and be sure to include in the NOTES field what you will be bringing (significant others and +1s are welcome but do not count as a “potluck”).

I believe we do have a Kanikapila scheduled at the Elks on the second Friday of the coming month. Waiting details from Joe and the Elkders and we do have more events on the horizon.

Stay Tuned.

Mike Axelrod asked that we learn/sing the following song from Peter, Paul and Mary. In exchange he says he will provide a generous donation to PIKOhana (our non-profit).

It’s called Light One Candle, you can download a PDF copy here and click here to view / play /practice / sing along with PP&M online. Be sure to bring a copy with you this Saturday.

Mahalo Nui Loa Mike!

So Linda spotted this (image below) at the Albany Goodwill Store. I thought it would be a great addition to our front yard. But they wanted over $300 for it. Man, talk about being (e)gypted! I was in DeNile for a while but felt better after talking to my Mummy.

Somebody stop me . . .
