Ukulele Friends Ohana

Aloha All,
We’ll be at the Campbell Hall in Sausalito this Friday, 6:30pm-9:30pm. BYPotluck, BYOGear (Music Stands, Lights), and of course BYAloha. Mahalo to Reverend Chip for hosting us once again at this beautiful venue.

Saturday Kanikapila will be at the UFOHQ. BYOBeverage and/or Snack. Usual runtime of 2p-4p.

Sunday we are performing at the Marin County Fair, 2-2:45PM, at the 3 Twins Solar Stage. If you’ll be joining us please be there no later than 1:30pm, BYOMusicStands, Dress Hawaiian (No Tank Tops), nice cheerful colors. I will be providing Flight Manuals for the Event. Please share a music stand with a Co-Pilot to help conserve stage space. We’ll have a lot of Hula this time around so we’ll need to move a little back from the front of the stage to provide room for our Hula Dancers. Please try and position yourselves to allow the vertically challenged towards the front and the vertically gifted to the back. I understand that Barbara and Tucker have volunteered to be our UFOhana Plants out in the Audience this year. Please feel free to join them if you’re feeling claustrophobic on stage. Mahalo Nui to Marion and the Marin Cultural Center Crew for inviting us once again at this terrific event!

Aloha UFOhana,

We’ll be at UFO HQ this Friday, 7-10pm, BYPotluck, BYOGear (music stands), and always, your Aloha to share with your Ohana. Mahalo to all for the great, healthy, delicious food last week!

Then we do it again at UFOHQ Saturday 2-4pm. BYOBeverage and Music stand.

This Sunday I’m holding an Ukulele Boot Camp (aka Lessons) at the Elks Lodge in San Rafael 10am -12pm. We’ll cover Basic Ukulele concepts and skills the first half and work on simple ’embellishments’ to spice up your Ukulele Playing. Cost is $25 (cash or check) and includes a Manual.

For those of you participating in this years County Fair performance. We’re slotted for Sunday, July 3, 2-:245pm, Three Twins Solar Stage. Please be there no later than 1:30, I will provide a Flight Manual for the event. Please wear Bright Cheerful, Aloha Attire. Men, please no tanks tops, we don’t want to scare away the audience. For those of you that signed up early, your tickets will be distributed beginning this week from UFOHQ, same as last year. If you missed the sign up, you’re still welcome to join us at the event, but you’ll have to buy your own ticket. Mahalo Nui Loa to Marion for inviting the UFOhana once again to this amazing event, Happy 75th Marin County Fair!

Sorry no photos from last Friday this time around as our primary photographer was and is still recovering from eye surgery. She extends her sincerest Mahalos to her ‘Ohana for sending all your healing mana her way. Just one more eye left to do  . . .
