Ukulele Friends Ohana

Aloha All,

It’s the first Friday of the month which means we’ll be at the Campbell Hall this Friday. Big Mahalo to Reverend Chip for hosting us once again! Run time, as usual, 6:30 – 9ish, BYPotLuck, BYOGear and as always, extra Aloha to share with your Ohana. Btw, Reverend Chip is requesting that we return the Hall to its original configuration once we’re done so it’ll be ready for the following morning’s event. We’ll need a little help from everyone on this one. Mahalo.

Saturday we’ll be back at the UFOHQ, 2p – 4p, BYOB&S (Bevs and Snacks if you like), BYOMusicStand and that Aloha thing again!

On behalf of Nohea and myself, we wish to express our sincerest Mahalo Nui Loa to all that participated in and made our Marin County Fair Kanikapila the best yet! Nohea and myself are so blessed to have an Ohana so full of Aloha and caring for each other. Mahalo to Charlotte for sharing her knowledge of Hula with us and to Marion for providing such a wonderful forum to spread the way of the Ukulele and our Ohana. Mahalo Nui Loa Kimo for keeping our heart on beat and to Leslie and Dolores for sharing their Walking Boots! Sue and Nellie we hope you’ve recovered from the heat of the event. Brudda Sandy, we missed you! Hope you’re feeling better. Malama Pono Ka Kou!

Btw, we have a July 30th event coming up in NAPA. The 7th Annual Napa Porchfest. We’re scheduled to play from 3-3:30. More details to come. Below is the T-Shirt for the event, please let me know if you’d like to order one. I’m told the supply is limited. Mahalo Carolyn for getting us into this fun event!

Alooooha UFOhana,

We’re meeting at the UFOHQ this Friday and Saturday. Friday, 7p-10p, BYOKauKau (Potluck, healthy main dish), BYOMusicStands and Saturday 2p-4p, BYOB&S (Beverage & Snacks if you like), of course, always bring some extra Aloha to share with all! We will be practicing our Mele (Songs) and Hula (Hawaiian Dance) for our July 2nd, 2-2:45p, performance at the fair. I will be providing a 2017 Fair Flight Manual to all attending for the event. Mahalo Nui Loa to Maliona for allowing us to participate in this fantastic event once again!

Btw, though we are out of tickets for the event, all are welcome to participate either onstage or in the audience (we can always use the extra applause and Ukuleles out there). In fact, invite your friends and family too! Tell them it’ll make for good Youtube blackma… uh Videos. If you are participating, please meet behind the 3 Twins Stage an hour before performance (just like the last time). Please find someone to share a music stand and Flight Manual with as we may be limited in space onstage. Also, keep the front row clear for our plugin musicians and bass player. Please be kind to those around you and if possible allow our shorter Ukulele Pilots to be in front. I’m going to try and push for 8 songs this year (4 hulas and 4 mele), so the sooner we get setup the better. Please wear you best Hawaiian attire and remember, “Let the Funshine In!”

Friday was great at the Elks, Joe Tato even cooked us a special dinner. Mahalo to Brudda Mike and Joe for opening up the Lodge to us!

Saturday it was onward to the Sonoma Valley Woman’s Club, amazing there was no NASCAR traffic!
