Aloha Ka Kou,
We’re b-a-a-ack!
We’re both still a little jet lagged and tired, but glad to be back home. As you may have noticed from the Kaua’i Photo Album we had a very action packed eventful trip.
Please check the Events Calendar for details on an “Amended Kanikapila” this Sunday as well as Friday and Saturday events. Be sure to “Register” if you’ll be attending this Sunday so we’ll know if we should open the UFOHQ Hangar Doors . . .
We did have one last Friday Night Kanikapila with Lois’ family in Kahala before we left O’ahu. We met her family and extended family, brother-in-law and nieces. One who had just returned from participating at the vigil on Mauna Kea, protesting the TMT observatory.
We were treated to delicious dinner of laulau, poi, lomi salmon, spring rolls, salads, and all kinds of homemade Da Kine Ono-licious Kaukau. We dined outdoors, under a shrouded moon, in their beautiful outdoor garden created by, her brother, Leland a master landscaper. Babs, her sister, a master lei maker, who created the beautiful Kupe’e for our wrists, which Lois had hand carried to Kaua’i.
We spent the night under the soft moonlight, embraced by warm trade winds, dancing, singing, talking story and reconnecting with my old college classmates, Leland and Babs.
Mahalo Nui Loa to Lois and family for a beautiful end to our Kanikapila Adventure in Hawai’i.
UkEkU
with the trades blowing,
and the soft touch of moonlight,
warm night with good friends.
Me ke Aloha Pumehana,
