SUMMARY:2025 Marin County Fair Performance
DESCRIPTION:Aloha UFOhana\, \n\n\n\nIt’s that time of the year once again\, County Fair Time! Yes\, we’ve been invited to perform once again. I also managed to convince them to give us another 15 minutes of performance time since we’re such a large group. \n\n\n\nThis year we’re hoping to have a larger audience. Considering that we are performing later in the day\, it being the first day of the fair which means kids attend for free. \n\n\n\nThought this event and tickets are for UFOhana performers only\, Please feel free to invite your friends\, neightbors\, family\, students to bring their own Ukuleles and join in the fun!  Song books will be available. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPerformance Day:\n\n\n\n\nMany of you already know the drill. Please be sure to be there no later than 12:30. We perform at 1pm\, end at 1:45pm.\n\n\n\nSetup your music stands before going onstage (share with another ‘Ohana member if possible).\n\n\n\nPrep/tune your Ukulele before going in stage.\n\n\n\nWhen it’s our turn\, get on stage asap\, but don’t run over each other doing so. Please help those in need of assistance.\n\n\n\nCore musicians will line upfront. \n\n\n\nHula Dancers will be on stage and in front\, with keiki’s next to the Vendola Cafe Core Band (VCCB). See below for Stage Plot details.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen you’re on stage please let the sound techs do their job(s)\, when we’re cleared for take off . . .\n\n\n\nRemember to smile\, connect with someone in the audience\, and enjoy!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nI’m told that the Vendola Cafe Hula Dancers will be wearing white hula dresses with Red Hibiscus and kukui nut leis. \n\n\n\nI ask that anyone joining the VCHD dress as such\, definitely no hula dancers with jeans. Join in only if you know the hula. The VCHD has been practicing diligently for this event so please respect their time on stage. \n\n\n\nEveryone else\, please wear Colorful Hawaiian Attire. Dress for warm weather. Stay hydrated. \n\n\n\nRemember what Marion said\, Look up at the audience once in a while and smile. \n\n\n\nAll VCCB members please bring your own Ukulele Cables to plug into the sound system. It’ll help speed up setup time. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nI’ll be providing the Flight Manual\, as usual\, I’ll have a few for the audience as well.  Click here for a PDF copy. \n\n\n\nI’ve also designed some special Pins for the event and will hand them out on performance day. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nI could not find a 2025 Fair Map\, but I’m assuming we’ll be at the same location as last year\, the “Kaiser Permanente Community Stage”\, see below.
