051816: Kanikapila at UFO HQ this Friday and Saturday

BOT:

Aloha All,

Another beautiful day comes to an end, bringing us closer to another Friday and Saturday of constant strumming. Friday, we start at our usual time of 7pm and end around 10ish. BYPotluck, BYOGear (mainly music stands) and of course BYAloha.

Mahalo nui loa to Maliona (Marion) for a fabulous last Friday and for sharing her beautiful Hale Na Maka with the UFOhana. Also to all the lovely Hula Sisters (and brothers) for sharing all their dances and to all of you that shared your Aloha. What a fun filled, unbelievable night it was. The songs wafted into the night, like jasmine on a cool breeze. Click below for an album of that night . . .

Aloha UFOhana,

We’ll be at a special location this Friday to Celebrate all the May Babies Birthdays. Marion has offered her beautiful home in San Rafael to help celebrate this month’s (and her) Birthdays. I’ll be sending out an email blast with her address. Text me at 415-300-7804 or email me at Kaleikoa@piko.ws if you haven’t rec’d it.

But wait, there’s more! She’s also providing a dinner! Check out the fabulous menu and message below  . . .

Fried Chicken
Carolina Pulled Pork
Ham Biscuits
Corn bread

Mixed barbecued sausages
Black Pepper Beans (black-eyed peas and pinquitos)
Potato Salad
Coleslaw
Green Salad
Cakes (caramel, coconut and tiramisu)

Fine with me if anyone brings anything else, particularly if they want healthy.  They should bring their own beverages and Music Stands.

Mahalo Nui Loa Marion for offering up your home and the all the fixin’s.

Saturday Kanikapila will be held at UFOHQ, run time 2p -4p. BYOBeverage, Music Stand and as always Aloha to share with each other . . .

So here we are in May and July is on the Horizon. As I had mentioned we’ve been invited to perform at the Marin County Fair on July 3rd. Details will be forthcoming but I’d like to get a head count soon, please email me if you will be attending as they will be providing entry tickets and will be limited.

Last week we celebrated (pre) Mother’s Day at the Elks. Click below for album. Btw, the Holo Holo Ka’a Kane’s are looking pretty good!
