040522: Vanikapila 15.22 – Redux

Hi All,

I got the date wrong for the Elks it should be the 15th NOT the 22nd. Must be the drugs and eye patch, good thing I wasn’t operating heavy machinery!

Aloha,
Del

BOT:

Aloha Ahi Ahi UFOhana,

Hope you’re all having a great week so far. It looks like we’re heading into another warm weekend.

Well, the cataract is gone and the new lens is in, only thing left is the healing.

Thanks to all for your well wishes . . .

No Elks Kanikapila this Friday due to no heavy lifting order from my Doctor. We’ll be having it on the 22nd instead. Stay tuned for Good Friday Dinner menu from Brudda Joe Tato.

It’s kind of weird typing with one eye, but it’s funny how your brain can adapadfakhhhhhhhat . . . adapt. Well kinda sorta . . .

Aloha and Mahalo to Madison for joining in last Saturday! Nice to hear from you and good luck in your studies and training.

Our Marine and her new ‘Ohana below.

Below are images from last week’s Vanikapila. Mahalo Nui to Sandra for the delicious birthday cakes for Gary and Carolyn. Hauoli La Hanau to you both.

If you’ll be joining us in person, you must be fully Vaxed and if you’re welcome to wear masks. Text me at 415-300-7804 if you’ll be joining us.

Song sheet from last week: Hula O Makee

Btw, speaking of Kanikapilas. We’ve been told that Ken Emerson is thinking of holding an in house concert, followed by a Kanikapila at Carolyn’s brand new landscaped terraced back yard. No firm date yet, we’re thinking maybe when the evening weather is warmer. We’re just testing the waters for now, please text me if you would be interested in attending.

UKEKU

silently it creeps,
lies slithering from speeches,
media demons.

Keep peace in our minds and prayers. Send truth and strength to those in need.

Click above on the 9th to join in.

Me ke aloha pumehana,
