041520: Week 5 Down 6 on the Rise . . .

BOT:

Aloha Ahi Ahi UFOhana,

Here we are surrounded by Spring and the Mea hoʻomaʻi (virus). Hope you’re all keeping yourselves safe and healthy. Nohea, Jake and I have been pretty lucky, well at least we haven’t started having conversations with the wall . . . yet. Though Nohea’s gotten pretty good at her 8pm Howling . . .

This one’s for you Kluki!

. . . on another note (pun intended), here’s something passed onto us from Brudda RalFee. A warm glow of hope and aloha in the form of an amazing duet by Father and Daughter . . . Mahalo Nui Ralph!

Btw, if any of you are looking for a sweet Ukulele here’s one from Brudda Steve-O . . .

Please let  the UFO gang know I’m thinning the herd, selling off a KoAloha Super Soprano in koa.  In this time of shelter in place, I figure I better sell it on Ebay and ship it.

Kinda of like tenor with a soprano body . . . but louder! N-i-ice! Better hurry I’m sure this beauty won’t sit around for long!

Finally, I’ve been looking into a streaming Virtual Kanikapila via YouTube. I’m targeting this Saturday at our usual start time of 2pm to ???pm. Setting up a “Video/Sound Studio” has its challenges.

So on 2pm this Saturday, fire up your YouTube devices (laptop, phone, touch pad, coconut wireless, carrier pidgeon, smoke signals, Marconi), get your Flight Manuals ready and click this link: https://youtu.be/Yn3JjQFQ79o and get ready to . . . .
S-s-s-s-s-trummmmmmblllllllle!

I’m hoping to have chat mode enabled on YouTube so the folks way in back can type WHAT PAGE! WHAT BOOK! and so we take requests too . . . . or maybe not . . .

Apologies to Piraro . . .

UkEkU

lines between days blur,
counting cracks on white ceiling,
so the day begins.

Before surfing on the Internet there was this . . . . don’t laugh, I actually tried this . . .

E Malama Pono(Take Good Care)!

  1. What a beautiful duet!
The perfect medicine while working on my computer.
BTW, that’s a gorgeous Uke. I bet it sounds heavenly.
Please give my best to Nohea.
    Be Well and Play On.

  2. I just knew you would figure out a way for us to remotely connect to “Hanger Central” – well done Mr. IT Del!
I will wear my best Aloha shirt (even though you won’t be able to see it).

PS. -Is it alright if I keep my shoes on?

    1. Mahalo Ralph! Spent about 3 hours this morning getting the UFOhana Holo Deck ready. I’m hoping it works. There was lot of moving pieces involved. Bass Commander Bailey will contributing to the effort. I’m hoping the Chat feature works, haven’t been able to test that fully yet. Can you send a response when you connect as a test?

      Aloha A Hui Hou (virtually),

  3. Aloha Ahi Ahi UFOhana,

Looks like I’ve completed hooking up all the technical pieces of this event. Hope you’ll be able to join in. Please send me a chat response so I know who’s out there!

    Mahalo Nui Loa,

  4. I was delighted to find this link. Last I played my uke was with your gang probably 3-4 years ago before logistics got in the way of Saturday sessions. What a treat to find Del and Sandy (and cameos by Linda) to lead me again. Next week, I’ll try to view via YouTube so that I can comment live. Mahalo and Aloha!
