Aloha Ka Kou,
Hope you’re all looking forward to a fabulous time with Family and Friends this coming Day of Thanksgiving.
Speaking of giving thanks, Nohea and I are thankful to all of you for the great friendship, laughs, songs, foods, hula and Aloha that you’ve shared so freely with us and each other. Mahalo Nui Loa for bringing so much joy and happiness into our ‘Ohana. We are truly blessed.
I’ve update the event calendar through end of this month. Check out https://UFOhana.org/events for Friday/Saturday Kanikapila event details. Don’t forget to register if you will be attending either event.
This Friday is our Hana Hou T-Day Kanikapila at UFOHQ. So if you have any homeless or unclaimed Thanksgiving Leftover considered bringing them with you!
This past Friday we were treated with a visit from one of our Kathy Quain, a long time member of the ‘Ohana, and her mother June Quain (visiting from Seattle). Kathy treated us to some incredible drumming, Ukulele and even sung one of her originals, “Strummin’ on the Bright Side”, written while on one of her visits to Kaua’i. We even got to wish her a Hauoli La Hanau. Click below for images of that night.
The following day, the fourth Saturday, we were are Sonoma Valley Woman’s Club for another great Kanikapila in the Mayacamas . . .
Btw, if you have any unwanted warm coats in need of an new owner bring them down this weeked to give to Melann. She’s collecting them for those in need.
A moment in time,
A vessel of memories,
A place we call home.
Hau’oli Lā Ho’omaika’i Ka Kou!
