We’re at the UFOHQ this Friday, 7pm – 10pm, BYPotluck, BYMusicStands and , of course, BYAloha. Big mahalo to the Elks for hosting us last week and for the great Mystery Fish Dish / Dinner. Here are images from last Friday’s Kanikapila, click collage to access album . . .
Last Saturday had us at the UFOHQ for this first time in a month (btw, we’ll be there again this Saturday 2pm-4pm) and Ted surprised us with his Mega-Moke Bass, Madison and Dan-O each doing a hula! OMG! And I thought playing the Ukulele was enough! Click below for online album . . .
Speaking of Madison, I’d like to remind everyone of the following from Madison regarding their fundraising efforts for their upcoming MYSO European Tour:
Here is the link to my GoFundMe: Click here to support Marin Youth Symphony Orchestra Tour organized by Madison Sneath.
I also made a YouTube video of me playing my audition piece on Saturday so anyone who wasn’t there can listen to me play: Madison Sneath Playing Fantasy by Francis Thomé
Thank you so much for supporting me! I also have all of my concert dates already so all of you guys can mark your calendars extra early to hear what you’re helping me do 🙂 All of our concerts are held in the James Dunn Theater at the College of Marin in Kentfield. December 2nd is our Winter Concert from 7-9.May 5th is our Spring Concert from 7-9.June 19th is a concert put on the day before we go off to Europe from 7-9. This means so much to me, thank you for helping me spread the word and for all the support you’ve given me through the years!
I understand that they are also doing a Band Practice-A-Thon, where for a few $$$ pledge, Madison will practice X amount of hours on her trumpet . . . check the links above for more details.
Mahalo Nui to you all for support the music efforts of our UFOhana Keiki . . .
Btw, Brittni Paiva will be holding a workshop and concert at the UFOHQ January 20th, 2019. She’s a fantastic Kumu Ukulele (Ukulele Master) and a Na Hoku award winner, check her out at https://brittnipaiva.com/ , more details to come. Besure to keep that date open!
That’s all I have for now . . . but before I go, don’t forget about our annual “Come As You Aren’t” Halloween Party on the 26th. Hope you’re all working on your Alter Egos! Click HERE for ideas from last year’s CAYA fest.
