Hope you all enjoyed the wonderful weather last week and it looks this week is going to be a beautiful repeat of the last.

Yes we do have a 3-fer Kanikapila this Weekend! Read on for the details.

So this Friday we’re gathering back at UFOHQ at our usual time of 7p-10p. BYOPL (Pot Luck), BYOGear (Music Stands), and BITM (Be In The Moment). Text, do not email, me at 4153007804 to RSVP a seat as I don’t read emails once I get home on Fridays, I’m usually busy cleaning and setting up the UFO Hangar.

Saturday we’ll be Kanikapila-ing with our Sonoma Ohana at the Sonoma Valley Woman’s Club. BYOGear (music stands), BY$5Donation to the Club, and lots of extra Aloha to share with our Sonoma Bruddas and Sistas! Click below for Saturday’s images.

Sunday we’ve been invited to participate in He’e Nalu’s Canoe Season Kick Off. 11a – 1p. We’ll be gathering at 101 Surf Sports in San Rafael. Bring a Potluck to share with He’e Nalu’s Ohana, bring your Gig Book and Music Gear.  Though there won’t be a formal canoe blessing this year, we will make up for it in Kanikapila time! Hope to see you  there . . . Mahalo to Nicole Sholly for including us in this fun event!

Aloha Ahi Ahi Ka Kou,

Hope you’re all recovering the the dreaded Inkumus-Taxitis syndrome. Just barely made the deadline this year due to IRS server crashes, thankfully Nohea rescued me from another round of late fees. I was thinking the crashes were probably the Russki’s stealing our info . . . again! If only they would pay my bills too . . . oh well, one more year’s club membership paid to Trumpland.

So this Friday we get to cruise at the UFOHQ. Meeting at our usual time of 7pm-10pm, BYOPotLuck  for ʻAina ahiahi (Dinner), BYOMusicGear, and BYExtraAloha ‘cuz we can all use some right now!

Especially Kaua’i, yes that is Bison on the beach, a survivor of the big storm that blew through the islands, damaging homes, closing down roads, etc. Last time Iniki blew through it was Chickens that got set free! What’s next?

After seeing all the destruction one has to ask, “Where is the Federal Government?” Oh yeah, Hawaii’s a Sanctuary State . . .  anyway, it seems the Aloha Spirit has kicked in and total strangers are lending their Kōkua, please send your good thoughts and mana out their way . . .

Mahalo to all that made last week’s Saturday Kanikapila such a fun one. I believe it was the Bestest Mista Sancho Lee role playing yet. Melann played a VERY convincing Ms. Momi Lomi Lomi, definitely “Got Pleaty Experience!”

We even had Mista Elvis Kamakawiwo’ole Bailey pay us a visit . . . “ova da Rainbow, there’s fried peanut butta papaya sandwiches . . . Some wea!”
