Aloha All,
We’re at the Elks his Friday, 7p – 10p. In honor of the New Year we’re calling it a Black & White Hawaiian Formal Kanikapila. As you see below we’re asking you wear either Hawaiian or a Formal, just bling it with a little Hawaiian Flair (note Stephanie’s elegant white gown with Gardenias). I know that a couple of our Kane are coming in full Tux!
A Casual Dinner will be made available by the Elks: Big Jim’s BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw and potato salad for $10.
Speaking of Stephanie, please send some healing thoughts and Aloha her way as she recovers from ankle surgery. Malama Pono Stephanie!
Aloha A Hui Hou, Until Friday All!

Hello Del and Linda, Mahalo for your greetings. It was so nice to see your smiles across the room, Sorry I did not stay for all your beautiful music Saturday.
Today I celebrate the 4 week countdown from my surgery. I believe I’ll have only 2 more weeks in this cast non weight bearing if the doctor finds the X-ray satisfactory. Then I’ll wear a heavy plastic shell for 2 weeks and increase weight bearing gradually, perhaps getting to drive with my new right ankle.
I will try to come Friday to UFO’s Vendola kanikapila but I’ll have to play it by ear. I have been sleeping a lot since my surgery and have an early bedtime. Take care and Happpy 2015!
Best regards, Stephanie
