09.15.15: Kanikapila at the UFO HQ This Friday…

BOT:

Aloha Ahi Ahi Ka Kou,

Hope your week is off to a good start. We’re meeting at the UFO HQ this Friday, 7p-10p, BYPotluck, BYOGear (chairs?), BYAloha. Email me at Kaleikoa@piko.ws if you need an address to the HQ.

Speaking of bringing Aloha, please send good thoughts and your Aloha to the families and victims of the MIddletown Fire. I understand that there are a few of our UFOhana that had members of their ‘Ohana lose their homes in this tragic event. On behalf of Linda and myself, we send blessings and good wishes out to them all.

This Saturday we’ll be meeting at San Rafael Joe’s on 4th Street, usual time of 2p-4p, in their convention/meeting hall. Lunch and beverages will be served in the main dining room only. BYOGear (music stands, lights?).

Don’t forget about our PIKO / Hele On Fund Raiser this weekend. Not to late to enter and we’ve got a few Ukulele Vendors attending the Uku-Market so bring your $$$ and or an Old Uke to sell if you like! Thanks to Charlotte and Marissa we will be raffling off a Brand New Kala Tenor Ukulele, valued at over $300! Don’t miss the chance to win this one, it’s a beauty! We could still use extra helping hands for anyone available and will out there  . . .

Mahalo Nui Loa to the Napa Valley Uke Fest Away Team. You folks certainly helped make it a fun event and thanks again to all of you for making the effort and time to get out there. Click the collage below for the album . . . Mahalo Nui to Donna Bragg for all the great photos and to Elaine de Man for allowing us to participate. Hope to see you folks next year. Btw, Elaine will be bringing her Ukulele Store to the Hele On Ukulele event on the 20th. That would be a great time to stock up on Uke Accessories.

I also understand, from Elaine, that the UFOhana Flight Manuals we brought for the event brought in good money for the Survivor Girl Ukulele Band (www.sgub.org) Organization. Laurie Kallevig’s effort to bring healing and recovery to victims of human trafficking in Kalkota via the Ukulele.
